Founded in 2001 by June Rhee, the Lucretia Strings is a versatile ensemble that will provide an elegant, professional, and memorable musical backdrop for your wedding, private party, cocktail reception, corporate holiday party, or any other special event.

Stringed instruments need no amplification equipment yet carry surprisingly far, even outdoors, without intruding on the atmosphere of your event. Whether you've always dreamed of a trumpet fanfare announcing your bridal entrance, walking down the aisle to your favorite love song, or even if you're not sure what you'd like, we're here to help make your day happen.

Our current list of professional musicians have studied at the University of Texas, Eastman School of Music, Mannes College of Music, University of Michigan, and the Julliard School. We have several years of experience performing in festivals and orchestras around the world and the U.S. including the symphonies of San Antonio, Victoria, Temple, and Austin Lyric Opera.

On August 12, 2004, Austin's Mayor Will Wynn issued a proclamation declaring that day in Austin, Texas as "Lucretia String Quartet Day"
